Floral Arrangement at Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition by Gardening in a Minute

Many people living in apartments or condos give up the pleasures of gardening, because they feel they have the room. Container gardening is an easy and efficient way to enjoy many of the same benefits as traditional gardening and anyone can do, no matter where you live. Fill a pot, a basket – even an old tire with colored flowers for a garden foolproof, hassle. All you need is an FTA and a little guidance and have a container garden that all your friends and family envy.First of all, become familiar with different types of containers for you to choose one that best fits their needs. Containers can be anything – the traditional ones, such as clay pots or wooden boxes from windows to the not so traditional, old tires, baskets and trolleys. Once planted flowers in one of my nephews old tennis shoes! The main thing to remember is that all containers should have good drainage. Regardless of type, must have at least one drain hole. Then you had better put some kind of "feet" on the container (brick or terra cotta dish.) This is that water can drain easily from the bottom. It also helps to cover the hole in the pot with a bit of broken pottery to facilitate drainage constant. Clay pots are classic, but very pourous, so that water evaporates quickly in heat. Plastic containers are lightweight and easy to move. Wood and ceramics are also good choices. Let your pots to make a statement as much as you would a new piece of furniture for your home. Remember – a cast iron urn, says "formal", while a wooden barrel says "rustic." You must fill the container with three key ingredients – good quality potting soil without soil or potting soil, water retention crystals and slow release granular fertilizer (try to choose one specifically for containers.) You shall not use the soil of your garden, because usually the plants in your garden are different from container plants. Leave an inch or two between the ground and the top of the pot so there is room for water without spilling the ground outside the container. When placing plants in the container, a good rule is to think in terms of three circles: the center of a plant (usually the top of the plant) and then a ring of plants that are grouped around the plant Central and, finally, an outer ring of plants is over the edge of the container. Some good choices for the central plant pennisetums, large canes, banana plants, elephant ears and taro Guzmania. For the second layer stacking of plants, try to hens and chickens, sage, Ageratum, coral bells, black mondo grass, geraniums, verbena or dahlias (shorter varieties.) Finally, in the outer ring, some sweet potatoes are good choices geraniums, verbena draping vine, coleus, petunias, nasturtiums, Sedum reptiles, thyme and growing. Of course, these are just some suggestions – anything goes in container gardening. One of my favorites is simply to fill a large pot of lavender and thyme with some plants spread over the side. I like my geraniums in window boxes because they come in a variety of vibrant colors and final form in the fall. Enjoy the process and eventually you'll learn which combinations you like and what works best for you. One final note is to remember pots tend to dry very quickly, so water, water, water! Early morning and evening are the best times to water. Experiment and have fun – you can not go wrong with container gardening. As the painting – you are the artist and if you do not like the way something looks, simply remove the plants and start over! It will soon be en route to a hassle-free container garden can be proud of and enjoy all summer!
